Festival program and collateral

In a huge coup for Varuna, The National Writers’ House, in 2019 they were able to mount the inaugural independent Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival.

Book lovers, writers and thinkers came together over four days in August for talks, events, performances and workshops all about writing and ideas.

Red Egg designed the logo, program of events and all the festival collateral, including posters, postcards, banners, lanyards and website graphics.

Our ongoing relationship with Red Egg Design has transformed Varuna’s outward-facing media. Red Egg were behind our recent brand development for the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival, and the rebranding of Varuna. Clive has succeeded in reflecting the rich creative history of Varuna, while creating a new and sophisticated logo, an appealing and easy to navigate website, and ensuring the cohesiveness of our visual identity across our communications.

Red Egg’s excellent design work has enabled Varuna and the Blue Mountains Writers’ Festival to tell better stories and extend awareness about what we do into new contexts and for new audiences, with greater relatability. We rely on Red Egg Design for everything to do with our visual presence for events and media. Thoroughly professional, wonderful to work with, highly recommended.
