About Red Egg

Red Egg Design is a communication design consultancy on the Sunshine Coast specialising in corporate identity design and creative publishing projects.

Launched in 2006 by Clive Jones, Red Egg Design was born out of the belief that visual communication is as much about storytelling as it is about design. That, and the genuine need for businesses and government departments of all sizes to better tell those stories, to really communicate with their audiences, whether that be through the printed page or the realm of digital media.

Clive’s entry into the family typesetting business over 30 years ago triggered a passion for typography, design and the printed page that is as strong as ever.

At the helm of Harley & Jones Design he successfully steered the business to growth, morphing a traditional typesetting trade house into a full service design and print production studio with a staff of ten.

As Creative Director he was responsible for strategic concepts, design and production for projects for corporate identity and branding systems, annual reports and marketing brochures, book design, packaging, press ad campaigns, digital products and websites, signage, exhibition displays and corporate interiors.

Now, through strong collaborations with award-winning writers, photographers, filmmakers and digital developers, Red Egg Design aims to work with like-minded clients to create successful and rewarding communication design projects.

And just to add [a little bit of] weight to the “global digital village” thingy, Clive’s move to the Blue Mountains in 2011 from the wilds of Balmain and then on to the Sunshine Coast in Queensland in 2020, has obviously been no barrier to working with clients and collaborators not just in Sydney but from all over the place, including Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Canada, New York, India, the
UK and Malaysia.
